New boss for Virgin Holidays Cruises

Peden, whose cruise industry career also includes working for Royal Caribbean International, is taking over from current managing director Robin Deller.

 

The appointment is part of a planned transition and integration plan for Virgin Holidays Cruises in the overall strategy established when Virgin Holidays acquired the former Fastrack Holidays from Deller in October 2007.

 

Peden, who has also worked for Virgin Atlantic and American Airlines, will be responsible for overseeing the final integration steps of the rebranded Virgin Holidays Cruises into the Virgin Holidays’ portfolio of brands, and taking the business forward in its long term commercial plan.

 

Deller, said: "It has been a truly excellent two years taking Fast Track through the post-acquisition re-brand to Virgin Holidays Cruises, and working to hand it over in the fit commercial position the business currently holds. 

 

"Leslie is excellently placed as my successor to take Virgin Holidays Cruises onwards in its successful journey as market leader in the cruise operator sector."

 

Peden, added: " My passion for the cruise sector and for the Virgin brand has been acquired over years working for both, and I look forward to taking the reigns and leading Virgin Holidays Cruises onto its next successful chapter with the great team I’ve acquired. "I will be working alongside Robin until the end of the year to ensure the smooth transition as scheduled."
