Two travel groups have decided to stay close to home for their conferences this year.
Elite Travel Group will hold its annual conference at De Vere Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth, on November 6 and 7.
Members have been offered the choice of a one or two-night stay and if required, a day delegate rate.
Meanwhile, Hays homeworking will hold its 2009 conference at the Marriott Forest of Arden hotel in Warwickshire.
The one-day event is set to take place on October 22.
The group decided to hold its conference close to home after consultation with product managers and team leaders from the homeworking division.
Homeworker general manager Tracey Luke said: "Many of our homeworkers wanted to attend the conference but didn’t want to have to take days out of the office and travel far from home.
"Having the conference UK based means it’s easy for everyone to attend but for those with families and other commitments they do not have to be away for too long."
Hays Travel has 35 shops across the region, three call centres and over 300 homeworkers, with a total annual turnover of more than £350 million.
