Etihad unveils new route

Etihad Airways will begin services from Abu Dhabi to Cape Town on September 30.

The new flights will operate via Etihadââ¬â¢s current daily Airbus A330 service to Johannesburg.

Cape Town will be Etihadââ¬â¢s second destination in South Africa and its fifth on the African continent, joining Khartoum, Cairo and Casablanca.

Chief executive James Hogan said: ââ¬ÅâœIn the coming 12 months demand for flights to South Africa will grow immensely, especially with the 2010 FIFA World Cup next summer.ââ¬~
