They are calling it the "ultimate in luxe privacy" but what would you expect from a place that offers elephant-back safaris by day and moonlight elephant-back safaris at night?
Camp Jubulani, a member of Relais & Chateaux, is expanding its accommodations with a new luxury lodge opening in September in South Africa.
The new facility is called Zindoga, meaning "On Its Own.
"The ultra-deluxe suite has a maximum capacity of six people and consists of two units. One accommodates two adults, the other for two adults and two children," says a press release.
The units have two wood-burning fireplaces and two heated pools.
Rates for the entire Zindoga Suite start at 38,500 R or US $4,758 per night, and are inclusive of all game-viewing (excluding balloon safaris), elephant-back safaris, accommodation, meals, beverages, butler and laundry service, children’s programs and transfers from the Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport.
About those elephants: guests sit behind the trainer of 13 elephants as they move single file. At night riders are given searchlights to pick out wild game from high above the ground.
