SYDNEY - Avalon Waterways has unveiled the latest addition to its European fleet - Avalon Creativity.
The 140-passenger vessel was christened by Newsweek Budget Travel president Nancy Telliho in a ceremony in the Netherlands fishing village of Volendam.
Avalon Creativity is Avalon Waterwaysââ¬â¢ eighth new ship in Europe since 2004.
Post-christening, the Avalon Creativity set sail on its inaugural Romantic Rhine cruise.
In 2010, the Avalon Creativity will move to Western Europe, cruising Avalon Waterwaysââ¬â¢ new Grand France and Paris to Normandyââ¬â¢s Landing Beaches itineraries.
The shipââ¬â¢s features include the largest staterooms available on a river cruise vessel, flat screen televisions, Egyptian cotton linens, mini-bar, safe, laundry and ironing services, a fully equipped fitness room, library, hair salon and gift shop, as well as a club lounge and large Jacuzzi pool on the Sky Deck.
Avalon Waterways is currently offering mid-year deals on its 2010 European river cruises, with free flights to Europe, free stopovers in Asia and cash savings.
