A management restructure at Thomas Cook has led to the departure of Sue Biggs.
It is believed that Biggs is not the only senior manager affected by a major restructure of the group.
The former Kuoni UK head joined Thomas Cook just a year ago as head of its scheduled business.
Reporting directly to CEO Thomas Cook Group Manny Fontenla-Novoa, Biggs headed the development of Thomas Cook Signature, Latitude, Tradewinds, flexibletrips, Bridge and Cresta, as well as Thomas Cook's cities programme.
A spokeswoman for Thomas Cook said she was not aware of any other changes, but according to Travelmole sources, other key managers have lost their jobs.
Ian Derbyshire, TC chief executive officer independent travel, confirmed that Biggs left the company yesterday.
"I would like to thank her for the role she has played in our progress to date, and wish her all the best for the future."
