SYDNEY - The 2009 ââ¬ËNordic Exposedââ¬â¢ agent workshops ââ¬' with the theme ââ¬ËFour Seasons and over 1000 Reasons to visit Denmark, Finland, Norway and Swedenââ¬â¢ will be held in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next month.
Hosted by the Scandinavian Tourist Board, Scandinavian Airlines and VisitFinland, the events will bring together key operators from all four countries for the first time in Australia.
ââ¬ÅâThere are a thousand and more reasons to visit the Nordic region ââ¬' literally ââ¬' and our aim at the workshops will be to show agents as many of them as we can,ââ¬~ VisitFinland marketing representative Satu Raunola said.
Travel industry experts attending the workshops represent the strongest line up of Nordic travel product representatives that have ever gathered in Australia with attendees including Borealis Destination Management, DFDS Seaways, Fjord Norway, Helsinki City Tourist & Convention Bureau, Hotel Union Geiranger, OneLapland and Visit FlÃ~¥m.
Australian participants include representatives of Beyond Travel Group, Discover the World representing Hurtigruten Cruises, Globus & Cosmos, MyBentours, Nordic Travel, Scandinavian Airlines, Scandinavian Tourist Board and VisitFinland.
The ââ¬ËNordic Exposedââ¬â¢ workshops will be held in Brisbane on Monday October 5 at the Brisbane Powerhouse; Melbourne on October 6 at Denmark House, and Sydney on October 7 at the Australian National Maritime Museum.
All venues will be open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
