Thumbs up to Uniworld Boutique River Cruises who have an offer running of NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT! Isn't that great? I agree that I've never seen this on offer by any other cruise line - what a good deal for us 'independent' travellers!

To return to a comment that I posted previously, I noted in the weekend papers that almost all cruise offers, and there were a lot, either offered a discounted price, upgrade to a superior cabin and/or an allowance against on-ship expenditure, but no mention of any single offers. The single traveller is an important traveller and only the cruise industry does not seem to recognise this. Many years ago, I attended an ASTA Conference in New Orleans, where we saw round 3 cruise ships - US agents said that they specialised in cruises because of the high commission levels - so why can cruise companies not offer some concessions as well for the single traveller???
