NEW YORK - The Holiday Inn hotel in Grand Island, NY, became the centre of controversy last week after residents learned that it was hosting a swingers' convention.
The event - named ââ¬ÅâEntice the Fallsââ¬~ was attacked by a local Baptist pastor who argued that it violated the townââ¬â¢s zoning code, the story says.
Eventually town officials got involved, prompting hotel management to scrub two events from the "Entice the Falls" schedule: body painting and a late-night "Club Erotica" dance party, said the Buffalo News.
The newspaper quoted a local town official saying that Grand Island's code prohibits all body painting except for kids' face painting at special events.
The "Club Erotica" dance party appears to violate a provision that bans adult cabarets, the story says. Other activities include a sexy swimsuit contest and a workshop on how to give sensual massages, the article says.
Scott Zeplowitz, the Holiday Innââ¬â¢s general manager, told the Buffalo News that the convention would follow the town's code.
