LAN offers Europe via South America

SYDNEY - Travellers from Australia to Europe and the UK can now fly via South America with LAN.

The airline has a range of new Economy and Business Class fares and itineraries from Australia to Madrid, Frankfurt and London, either on its own flights or in conjunction with partner airlines.
Economy Class low season prices, including taxes, start at $2425 per person from Sydney to Madrid; from $2559 Sydney to Frankfurt and from $2657 Sydney to London.

Business Class fares start at $12,425 per person, including taxes, from Sydney to Madrid, from $12,460 Sydney to Frankfurt and from $12,478 Sydney to London.

Fares also are available for travel in either high or peak seasons, and from other cities with connecting domestic flights by Qantas.

Suggested itineraries include:

- Sydney to Santiago and Madrid with LAN, then Madrid to London with Iberia

- Sydney to Frankfurt via Buenos Aires, Santiago and Madrid, all with LAN

- Sydney to Papeete, Tahiti, with Qantas and Air Tahiti Nui, then Papeete to Easter Island, Santiago and Madrid with LAN

- Sydney to Madrid via Santiago, then Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador, with LAN

- Sydney to Santiago, then to Lima, Peru, and on to Madrid with LAN

Low season: 02 February - 30 November.

High season: 01-12 December, 25-31 December and 16 January ââ¬' 01 February.

Peak season: 13-24 December and 01-15 January.
