PERTH ââ¬' Athenaââ¬â¢s two-night weekend cruise from Fremantle in December will target Christmas work parties.
The cruise sails from Fremantle after work at 6pm on Friday December 18 and returns to Fremantle at 7am on Sunday December 20, the day before the longest day of the year.
This means that during the weekend cruise in waters south of Perth, passengers will enjoy about 14 hours and 21 minutes of daylight on the Saturday.
During the weekend cruise to ââ¬Ënowhereââ¬â¢, early risers or those who havenââ¬â¢t gone to bed yet will see the sun rise over Athenaââ¬â¢s decks at 5.04am and set for pre-dinner cocktails on deck at 7.25pm.
Classic International Cruises managing director, Grant Hunter, said the weekend cruise was ideal for companies or businesses seeking a novel, end-of-year Christmas party for their staff or for anyone seeking a break from the Christmas rush.
Passengers will also save on beverages, with drinks often cheaper than in land-based bars.
Full-strength beer on Athena is priced from $5.75, a glass of wine from $7, cocktails from $7.10 and cappuccinos from $3.25.
The onboard currency is Australian dollars.
Fares on the weekend cruise from Fremantle are available from $435 per person, twin-share, including all onboard meals and entertainment.
Based in Western Australia each summer, the mid-sized Athena carries 600 passengers.
