LONDON - Costa Cruisesââ¬â¢ Costa Deliziosa, the Italian companyââ¬â¢s new top of the range ship, will be named in Dubai on February 23 next year.
The 15th ship in Costaââ¬â¢s fleet, Costa Deliziosa is the first cruise ship to be named in an Arabian city, says the Italian cruise company.
The naming ceremony will take place during the shipââ¬â¢s inaugural cruise, departing from Savona on February 5 and calling at Dubai from 23-26 February.
Costa Deliziosa (92,600 gross tonnage and 2,826 total guests) is currently being fitted out at Fincantieriââ¬â¢s Marghera (Venice) shipyard and will be delivered on January 29.
Costa Luminosa, christened in June this year, and Costa Deliziosa, will be deployed in Dubai during (northern) winter 2009/10, offering seven-day cruises in the Arabian Gulf.
