A capital idea from Superbreak

An agents’ guide to London has been published by short break operator Superbreak as an ongoing sales tool.

The six-page guide is currently being merchandised by the operator’s sales team.

The publication comes as the company reported sales through agents for the capital were up 40% in the past six months over the same period last year.

The guide sets out key information including a large map with all rail hubs, tube stations and place of interest marked on it.

The map is designed so that agents can add to it themselves by marking on the location of hotels or shows that they sell regularly.

A list of the most visited attractions, attractions that offer free entry, things to do for families, luxurious London ideas and nightlife spots are included.

Details of all the major train operating companies’ networks into London is included plus details of the Oyster Card, which can be pre-purchased to cover bus, Underground and over ground rail travel around London.

Sales director Ian Mounser said: "We have seen over 40% growth in bookings through agents over the past six months for London as a destination which must currently be the number one leisure destination for the British public.

"2010 could well be even stronger and obviously we want to build on this and help agents sell even more."
