New Italy route from city airport

Milan has started to be served from London City Airport.

CityJet is running two flights a day on weekdays to Milan Linate Airport, bringing its network from the Docklands hub up to 14 routes.

The Air France KLM business partner is using a 90-seat AvroJet AR8 to Milan, with fares starting at £178 return, including taxes.

CityJet CEO Geoffrey O’Byrne White said: "We’re already the largest operator out of London City Airport and our new operation to Milan not only complements our existing European network but also cements our leading position at city airport.

"The route offers a frequent and efficient service to the business and financial capital of Italy with a schedule that allows both outbound and inbound passengers to do a full day’s business in either city."
