New European Star Alliance member

Brussels has become a new hub for the Star Alliance with Brussels Airlines signing up as the latest member.

The move adds four new destinations in Africa to the global airline grouping’s network - Bujumbura, Burundi; Conakry, Guinea; Kigali, Ruanda and Monrovia, Liberia.

Brussels Airlines, which serves 55 European airports and 14 in Africa, becomes the 11^th member of the alliance.

The Star Alliance now offers more than 19,700 daily flights covering 1,077 destinations in 175 countries.
