New president for Amadeus

Amadeus president and CEO David Jones is to stand down in 2011, to be replaced by current deputy and chief financial officer Luis Maroto.

The travel technology provider has also appointed a new CFO, Ana de Pro, who arrives at Amadeus from a senior management post at accounting giant Arthur Anderson. She joins the management team in February.

David Jones said: "I welcome the appointment of Luis Maroto as future president and CEO and I am looking forward to dedicating all my efforts to Amadeus for the next 12 months.

"Our worldwide commercial organisation will continue to be led by Philippe Chérèque as executive vice president commercial. Moreover, Jean-Paul Hamon and Eberhard Haag remain as executive vice presidents in charge of development and operations, respectively, and Toms López Fernebrand as Vice President General Counsel. I am confident that together we will continue to set Amadeus in a class of its own in terms of industry knowledge, vision and innovation."
