Babymoons: beyound the sea

Babymoons, the increasingly popular vacations designed for expectant parents, are now being offered more and more by cruise lines.

"It’s an opportunity to relax before your lives are changed forever by the arrival of your new bundle of joy," says CruiseCompete.com.

One caution: the cruise lines have pregnancy travel guidelines in place, so plan carefully, urge cruise officials.

The guidelines have recently changed on many lines. Most now require that a pregnant passenger be less than 24 weeks gestation upon completion of the cruise, down from the previous industry standard of 27 weeks.

Many options are available.

Cruises range from sophisticated couples who want luxury, and a lot of it, to more casual encounters.
