Dertour expands into new countries

Specialist Germany operator Dertour is introducing neighbouring countries in an expanded programme for 2010
City breaks to Geneva, Zurich, Basel and Bern in Switzerland are introduced as well as Prague and Budapest.
The ‘Germany, Austria and Switzerland 2010’ brochure also features a range of lakes, river and mountain resort holidays in Austria and Switzerland.

Six European rail tours are included for the first time, which feature itineraries within Germany as well as neighbouring countries.
A new ‘Rhein Steig’ walking tour along is added in Germany. The operator is also featuring the Ruhr region in North-Rhine Westphalia, which is the designated European capital of culture for 2010 and which will be hosting a number of events.
There are also new self-catering options throughout Germany and ‘German Gems’ featuring beaches, castles and cultural-based holidays.
City break prices start at £269 per person for a two night break in a three star hotel in Munich.
Lakes, Rivers and Mountains lead in at £429 for five nights in a three star hotel in Kaprun and European rail tours start at £729 for a six nights Harz Mountains tour.
Managing director Julie Craig said: "We have introduced a number of holidays to Switzerland and Austria due to increased demand in tailor-made options and feedback from travel agent partners.
"We have introduced new city breaks including Prague and Budapest as we think these destinations sit well amongst the rest of our city break product.

"As part of our ongoing marketing support for agents, we will be providing them with accompanying posters for their shop windows, together with flyers and tailored agent support."
