TIPTO prepares agent roadshows

 

 

Details of agent roadshows in February, March and April have been unveiled by the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation.

 

TIPTO will visit seven towns and cities, including Tunbridge Wells for the first time, between February 10 and April 27.

 

Independent agents will be able to meet and get product information from TIPTO’s 16 members, as well as an opportunity to win prizes.

The full programme is:

10 February              Stoke on Trent - Best Western Moathouse
11 February              Worcester - Sixways Worcester Warriors
10 March                  Bournemouth - Marriott Highcliffe
11 March                  Tunbridge Wells - Spa Hotel
16 March                  Solihull- St John’s Hotel
17 March                  Chester - Racecourse
27 April                     Glasgow - Hilton Grosvenor
 
Details of May and June roadshows will be announced shortly, with destinations to be visited including Bristol, Ipswich and Gateshead.

 

The roadshows will continue TIPTO’s ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ theme, with evening entertainment over dinner including a magician and travel quiz.  

 

TIPTO Chairman Graham Balmforth (Superbreak) said: "Many organisations are cutting back on this kind of face-to-face interaction with agents, but even in the current economic climate they are very productive for TIPTO members.

"The calibre of agents is always really good and we are told time and time again how beneficial the agents find the events, which build their product knowledge, help them to develop relationships with operators who want to support them, and play a big part in boosting business.

"We undertook research last year which indicated that 75% of independent agents rated TIPTO’s as the best roadshows in the industry, and we’ll be pulling out all the stops to ensure we maintain the same high standards.
