Olympic-bound visitors find room at this inn

If you’re going to the Olympics this month in Vancouver and need a place to stay, the 77-room, downtown Loden Vancouver still has availability with daily rates ranging from $190 but more typically at $900.
 

The penthouse at $6000 a night is sold out. Actor Hugh Jackman was among its guests.
Why does this hotel have rooms despite the late date?
 

"Many of the hotels in Vancouver have been booked out for the Olympics for the last three years.

When Loden came along just over a year ago, they were one of the last hotels with available rooms," says a spokesperson.
 

The rooms became even more attractive after canceling of packages for the Norwegian Star, the cruise ship expected to dock in Vancouver on Feb. 10 to provide rooms for hundreds of Olympic visitors.
 

The hotel was recently voted the top luxury facility in Canada by TripAdvisor’s 2010 Traveler’s Choice Awards.
 

The Loden, perhaps surprisingly, ranked ahead of the better-known Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City and the Fairmont Vancouver Airport in Richmond
