First Allure of the Seas sailing brought forward

Royal Caribbean International has brought forward the first cruise to be operated by new mega ship Allure of the Seas.

The first voyage on sale to the general public will be a seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary from Fort Lauderdale, sailing on December 5.

Passengers booked on the original inaugural sailing of December 12 will be given the opportunity to move their cruise to the earlier date.

They will be re-accommodated in the same cabin and category. The cruise price will be the lower of either the price paid or current prices, Royal Caribbean said.

Those booked on the December 12 sailing will have until the end of February to opt to change to the earlier departure to ensure they keep the same cabin.

Prices for the first seven-night cruise on December 5start at £774 per person based on two people sharing an inside cabin.

Allure, the sister ship to the world’s largest, Oasis of the Seas, will carry 5,400 passengers in 2,700 cabins.

The ship will alternate between seven-night Western Caribbean and Eastern Caribbean itineraries from its home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
