Southwest’s recent airline fares of $39 one way as usual brought out a series of similar offers, including one from AA.com, where the sale ends today on $39 flights to these sample destinations:
Austin to/from New Orleans; Baltimore to New York’s JFK, Dallas/Ft. Worth: Austin; Kansas City: Chicago; Chicago: Nashville; Los Angeles: Chicago; and others.
Travel must be completed March 15 to May 25.
Reservations are required. Seats are limited and sale fares may not be available on all flights. Fares and schedules are subject to change without notice.
Ticketing Changes: Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
There are other stipulations such as tickets do not include a federal excise tax of $3.70 per segment.
And there are bag charges, of course.
Customers who purchase domestic economy class tickets will be charged $25 each way for the first checked bag and $35 each way for the second checked bag, according to AA.com.
