The Department for Transport’s ATOL reform consultation results will be revealed at the Travel Technology Initiative’s Agents Advancing Conference in April.
Early findings of trade and consumer responses will be presented by the CAA’s deputy director consumer protection group David Moesli.
ATOL Reform will be debated at the conference by industry players including ABTA Chairman John McEwan, managing director of The Co-operative Travel Mike Greenacre and Virgin Holiday’s sales and distribution director Chris Roe.
TTI’s chairman Tony Allen commented: "ATOL Reform could affect the whole travel industry. For consumers, it could finally bring clarity to whether their holidays are protected or not. For the industry, it could create a level playing field where online travel companies can no longer take advantage of consumers so-called ‘self-packaging’ of their holidays."
