Unite members to lobby BA shareholders

Shareholders turning up to the British Airways AGM in London today will come face to face with Unite members who want them to push for a move away from "management by conflict".

Unite says it wants to persuade shareholders to put pressure on BA’s management team to end the torturous dispute that has severely dented the airline’s coffers.

A letter will be handed to those entering the meeting, outlining how the battle should be resolved.

An offer has been put forward by the carrier to Unite members who are currently voting on it. An agreement will end strikes that have plagued British travellers since the spring.
