The fourth and largest-ever UNWTO Ministersââ¬â¢ Summit at World Travel Market will for the first time conclude with a Statement of Intent outlining the future direction of the travel and tourism industry.
The tourism ministers attending this yearââ¬â¢s November 9 summit - Shaping a Stronger Travel and Tourism Industry ââ¬' Governance and business models for the future ââ¬' will agree their plan and direction for the industry for the next 12 months.
It will be the first time global travel ministers agree a set of actions and principles for the future of the industry.
The ministers and aides will be joined at the summit by senior business leaders from the industry.
ââ¬ÅâUNWTO secretary-general, Taleb Rifai, said, ââ¬ÅâThis is a unique opportunity for ministers from around the globe to share experiences and set the outline for the future of the industryââ¬~.
The UNWTO Ministersââ¬â¢ 2010 Summit at WTM takes place at ExCeL, London, on Tuesday, November 9.
