The British Travel Awards has confirmed that actor and comedian Hugh Dennis will compere this year's gala dinner on November 1.
Dennis, famed for his role as the dad in successful TV sitcom Outnumbered, is also a permanent panellist on satirical current affairs programme Mock the Week.
BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton urged companies shortlisted for an award to crank up their vote lobbying campaigns.
"Consumer voting is being promoted through the Times, Sunday Times, The Daily and Sunday Sun; on LBC and through the BTAs own magazine Check-In but there is lots individual companies can do to increase their chance of winning," she said.
"The BTA office can provide marketing tools including a 'Vote for Us' button that can be placed on all electronic communications and on websites."
This year the number of awards has been reduced to 75 and, said the BTA, small tour operators have been given a fairer deal in the 'Best' categories by having separate awards for every size of business.
Tables and individual places for the BTAs are available online at www.britishtravelawards.com
