A new insurance scheme from Journeys Travel Insurance, designed to protect agents against the collapse of unbonded suppliers, has been backed by Advantage Travel Centres and Midconsort agency consortiums.
The launch of Journeys Agent Protection comes as increasing amounts of business is dynamically packaged.
The scheme allows agents to claim up to pound;1500 per passenger against the failure of unbounded travel and accommodations providers.
Special rates of pound;1.75 per passenger have been agreed with Advantage and Midconsort, falling to 90p if issued together with a travel insurance policy using Journeys extranet system.
