Support offered as airline is grounded

Passengers grounded by the demise of Italian carrier MYair are being offered special fares from Spain and France by Vueling.

The Spanish airline has pledged to fly them to and from Italy (Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino and Venice) until October 25.

MyAir"s operating licence was suspended by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority due to financial difficulties.

Passengers with a MyAir ticket, if producing a copy of the bank statement certifying payment, will be able to acquire new flights at Vueling airport ticket desks until August 6, Vueling said.

The carrier is offering the following rates:
·         €95 (taxes and charges included) for all flights on the Barcelona-Venice, Barcelona-Milan Malpensa and Paris Orly-Rome Fiumicino network
·         €130 (taxes and charges included) on the Milan Malpensa-Ibiza route
