Cosmos cuts price of Santa trips in credit crunch

Cosmos Holidays has reduced first child prices for its Lapland trips in the credit crunch.

Head of specialist products Sara Gelder said: -¬---As we were expecting, a trip to see Santa this Christmas is less affordable in the current downturn so we have decided to discount child prices early in the run-up to Christmas to maintain our current programme."

The offer applies to bookings made before September 30 and complements the additional initiatives by the operator to kick-start this year-ªs lates market for Santa holidays.

Child prices at the four diamond plus rated Hotel Levitunturi in the resort of Levi Fell now start from -£499 - a discount of -£236 on brochure price - for the three-night trip departing Manchester on 9 December.

Other dates available include December 3, 12 and 16 from Gatwick and 6 from Manchester.

Also available for bookings made before September 30 are group offers where the 11th adult goes free when travelling with 10 full fare-paying adults and senior citizens over 60 pay no single supplement if staying in the same room with one or more full fare-paying children.
