FHA seeks pub quiz teams

Need an excuse to visit the pub? How about the World"s Biggest Pub Quiz in aid of the Family Holiday Association?

The quiz is to run on March 25 across the UK with the charity actively recruiting people to lead teams and join pub quizzes in their areas.

For those organising a quiz, the Family Holiday Association will provide posters, quiz questions, support and ideas.

A microsite at www.bigpubquiz.org has been created where an organiser"s pack can be downloaded.

The site also details more than 360 pubs around the country which have already signed up to participate.

Each organiser whose quiz raises more than £100 will have the chance to enter a competition to win a seven-night Caribbean cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line"s new ship Norwegian Epic, which is being launched in June.

FHA fundraising manager Joe Hipgrave said: "We"re appealing to all people to bring a group of friends, family or colleagues together and try to break the record for the World"s Biggest Pub Quiz, so more disadvantaged families can enjoy a much-needed break in 2010."
