UK travel agents can now book pre-paid seating on British Airways' flights for the first time through the Travelport GDS.
Before, agents could only do this through the airline-ªs website.
The development comes after BA and Travelport signed a full content agreement, which included a commitment to integrate BA-ªs pre-paid seating solution into the GDS.
To take advantage of the facility, agents must download Travelport Options Integrator, which is available for connected agents free of charge.
Travelport and BA intend to implement the new functionality to other key regions later in the year following the initial home market launch this month.
