Israeli scientists are testing a bomb detector that operates with eight hidden mice, according to New Scientist magazine. The mice, said to be better at detecting bombs than dogs or x-ray machines, are fitted into concealed cartridges and work four-hour shifts.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will introduce flights to Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador on October 30. "For the first time in our history, KLM will make more than a half-million seats available to the Caribbean, annually," said Peter Hartman, the airline’s CEO.

Affordable Car Hire has signed an agreement with Dollar Rent A Car. Angela Day, chief executive officer for Affordable, said: “Dollar has an enormous fleet from economies, SUVs to all-American convertibles including Ford Mustangs and Sebrings. There is something for everyone.”
