Expotel has launched an online auction that allows hotels and venues to offload rooms and conference packages when demand is low.
Many auctions have no reserve prices, with St Giles Hotels offering rooms in central London and Heathrow from -£1.
Alton Towers is offering conference packages and corporate days also starting at -£1.
Cedar Hotels is auctioning wedding packages and penthouse suites, while Hallmark Hotels is offering a selection of spa packages.
Expotel head of partner services Mark Bevan said: -¬---This site will allow properties to auction -¬Ë-one off-¬™ deals such as a conference room, spa break or wedding package on a given date for a fixed number of people.
"It is intended to help them to sell space and facilities during periods of off-peak or lower demand, for example a honeymoon suite on a Tuesday night - and at short-notice.-¬~
