Online selling tool set to make life simpler for agents

A new website that clearly spells out to agents which airline flies from which airport to which destination has just been launched.
In simple, easy to use format, Travref.com offers agents immediate access to the UK and Ireland’s direct scheduled flight routes including those of low-cost airlines which are not so easily found on the GDS systems. It also shows direct sea and rail links.
Using Google maps, the site also identifies local attractions and gives international airport, visa and health advice.
Travref is the idea of former GB Airways, Continental Airlines and Gulf Air staffer Richard Moore. Said Moore: “Travref.com was designed primarily as a consumer search tool, but potentially it can add real value for front-line travel agents as well.

“Agents now have a one-stop resource that shows all direct travel options available to clients for their chosen destination  -  even the low-cost carriers which don’t appear in their GDS systems  -  as well as quick links to essential information too.  Travref.com can help them to do their job more quickly and efficiently, and can also be used as a sales tool to help clinch bookings.”
The site can also be white-labelled and has already been snapped up by the Italian tourist board.
