Carlson Wagonlit Travel in the UK has achieved ISO 14001 accreditation for its environmental management standards.
To earn the accolade, CWT said it "brought its sustainability efforts together under one framework, updated its environmental policy and created an environmental management system that sets performance measures and actions with the goal of continuous improvement".
In 2011, CWT UK has committed to a minimum 5% reduction across all output measurements, such as waste and energy usage.
The core initiatives that contributed to the accreditation included making its vehicle fleet more green, a comprehensive "reduce and recycle" scheme, and educating staff and clients on sustainable ways to travel and work.
