UK travel startup TripEdge has launched this month and is calling for support from independent travel agencies to join its service.
TripEdge is designed to connect UK holidaymakers with knowledgeable and experienced travel
agencies that hold an ABTA/TTA membership and an ATOL.
Founder Robert Wheeler said it launched "quietly" on June 1.
"In the last 14 days it has had 10 holiday enquiries like London to Sharm el Sheikh for 2
adults and 1 child, Newcastle to Dalaman for 2 adults and Gatwick to Crete for 2 adults and 2 children," he said.
"So without any marketing effort or the usual
web service launch fanfare the service has been getting customers from day one, but UK travel agencies have yet to see the potential of the service and sign up."
The service sends customers' 'Holiday Search Request' via email to the travel agency, leaving the travel agency to contact the customer
directly with its best available offers.
Any UK travel agencies interested in joining TripEdge or requiring more information should contact Wheeler at robert@tripedge.co.uk
