Travel technology company Sabre has launched a piece of software to help hotels boost revenue via Facebook.
SocialConversation offers a suite of social network services including a seamless booking engine with the feel of a hotelâ€™s website but hosted by Facebook.
The software also has the ability to offer social media-only offers and promotions pushed within Facebook. It can also integrate social media into a hotelâ€™s website through profile portability and social plug-ins.
Recent research shows around 40% of travellers use social media to research options before booking.

The recent insolvency of Low Cost Travel Group, one of the large players in the travel industry had a big impact on the travelers, hotels and all related players from both wholesale & retail arms. There were about 27,000 people on a holiday who had booked through the company comprised of a €200 million wholesale arm and €500 million OTA / retail arm.
