Travelport has appointed Douglas Steenland as vice chairman of its Board of directors.
He will serve on the Compensation, Audit and Executive Committees of the Board.
Steenland held numerous executive roles during 17 years with Northwest Airlines Corporation.
He was most latterly president and CEO from October 2004 until its merger with Delta Air Lines in October 2008.
Steenland is currently a senior advisor to the Blackstone Private Equity Group, chairman of the Board of Performance Food Group Inc. and holds a portfolio of other board directorships, including
Hilton Worldwide.
