Expedia has joined with history travel website Historvius and tours website Viator to develop online maps which show hotels and tours near to historic sites.
Users can filter and shortlist historic sites, tours and hotels and view them all on a single interactive map.
"We wanted to ensure that the integration really added to our user experience," said Historvius CEO Mike Lewis.
"Not only can our users view which tours and hotels are near the sites they want to visit, but if they"ve already booked their hotel, they can plan an itinerary around it and book local tours, all things that help them create their perfect trip."
