Sabre makes a case for TripCase

Sabre has unveiled a new user interface for TripCase, its web and mobile app.

The new web version will be designed as the traveller's home base, allowing easier management, tracking and sharing of upcoming and previous trips.

The mobile version is designed as a personal, on the road travel concierge, helping travellers navigate unexpected itinerary changes.

TripCase monitors any factors that could change or impact a traveller's trip including weather, flight delays and gate changes and automatically notifies the traveller.

"What makes TripCase unique is how we are able to anticipate travellers' needs to make the travel experience better," said Carl Frier, Sabre Pacific GM sales and product, Australia and New Zealand.

Frier said the growth in smartphone usage and the expanding capabilities of TripCase have enabled Sabre-connected agencies to tap into lucrative upsell opportunities and extend their service by mobile.

Sabre claims it is the only travel management app that offers these flight alerts at no charge. The system is also integrated with the Sabre GDS.

Among changes are multiple itinerary view options allowing users to see the total trip at a glance, view by segment or by chronology of events.
