Facebook campaign for woman injured by hotel wardrobe

THE family of a British woman left with a serious brain injury after a wardrobe panel fell on her in an Abu Dhabi hotel have started a Facebook campaign to get public support.


Natalie Creane, 33, a HR executive with a Dubai firm, was celebrating her engagement in 2008 when she was knocked out by the loose wooden section in the five-star Emirate Palace hotel.


Doctors said it damaged her frontal lobe, causing seizures and three comas — the latest of which left her fighting for her life last week.


But the Emirates Palace Hotel denies responsibility and has fought off a £3.5million compensation claim.


Natalie's family, from Brentwood, Essex, have broken their silence in a bid to get public support.


The Justice for Natalie FB page says: "After four years of battling quietly, afraid of prejudicing Natalie's position with the hotel and its insurance company, the family has finally broken its silence and welcomes public support for Natalie.


"It remains the family's hope that Emirates Palace Hotel does what it should have done in the first place - admit liability for the accident and help Natalie before it's too late. Doctors have told Natalie if she has another large seizure she could die."
