  • Monarch, for real?

I find it incredibly surprising Monarch won this prize. In travel we should be encouraging transparent pricing, which in turn creates trust. On this 'award winning' site clients are shown a 'lead-in' per person price. In the next step considerable charges are automatically added to this price, which a client must remove to get back down to the lead-in price. To make things worse, at no stage is the per person price shown again, only the total flight costs, which effectively hides these automatically added charges. At least the low-cost carriers make clients add the extras if they want them. Try it. Sorry to be negative, but it's not a system we should be applauding. Congrats to everyone that fully deserve their accolades.

  • Congratulations to Neilson

VSI-thinking, web designers of the Neilson site, would like to congratulate Neilson on their 'Best Sports Travel & Tourism Site' award. Weeks of booking systems integration, content development, user interface design and general love for the web ;) have paid off, we are delighted to be part of the success.
