Tourism chief 'delighted' at reduction in Chinese visa fee

UKinbound has welcomed a sharp reduction in the cost of UK entry visas for Chinese visitors, announced by Prime Minister David Cameron yesterday during the Chinese President's visit to London.

The cost of the long-term multi-entry visa will be reduced from £325 to £85 next year.

UKinbound CEO Deirdre Wells said: "We are delighted at the announcement to reduce the cost of the multi-entry visa for Chinese visitors.

"We have long been campaigning for a change to the visa costs, which was a key plank of our #TourismABC manifesto.

"China is a vitally important market for our 350 members and this announcement will greatly help to boost the UK's competitiveness."
