Lindsay Lohan 'in shock' when asked to remove headscarf at Heathrow

Actress Lindsay Lohan claimed today that she was racially profiled when she travelled through Heathrow wearing a headscarf.

Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Lohan explained she was wearing the headscarf after a trip to Turkey, where she visited Syrian refugees as part of her humanitarian work.

She was travelling through Heathrow on her way back to New York when a member of the security staff asked her to remove it.

The American actress, who recently hit the headlines when she urged other Americans to back new President Donald Trump, said: "I was in shock. It was jarring."

She added: "What scared me at that moment was, how would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel...that was really interesting to me."

Heathrow has been asked for a comment.

  • What's sooooo "jarring"?

Am waiting in anticipation to hear what happened when she arrived in JFK wearing said scarf. Maybe she'll want to re-think her public support for President Trump . .

  • what did she expect

This is the woman who backs Trump against muslims full stop. At security the head and face should be completely uncovered. A man would not be expected to wear a hat or hoody.. Get a life

  • How disgraceful...

... and a similar thing happened to me when I went through security. I had to remove my hat, my coat, my jacket AND my shoes. They obviously thought I was a terrorist and I was in complete shock that such a thing could happen.
