Storms hit the Alps

As expected this week has provided us with some excellent and extreme weather conditions in the Alps. Switzerland is currently in the midst of a wide spread blizzard as the storm pushes it way through to Austria. Meanwhile in France, the wild weather has been replaced with a more stable and dry weather system.

During the next 24 hours heavy mixed precipitation will affect Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and Austria. Beyond the current turbulent patch, the weather will stabilize over the weekend providing sunshine and improved visibility. However, this will be brief, as cloudy and snowy conditions are likely to return to the Alps next week.

In the Pyrenees, mostly sunny conditions are expected this weekend with no major snowfall currently forecast. However long-range forecast indicates a heavy snow storm may be arriving around next Friday.

In the US, the outlook for the next six days is slowing snowfall, but there is lots forecast for vast swathes of British Columbia and Alberta.

Recently, roomsXML has launched its new version of API, which brings significant upgrades to its already reliable API. By upgrading the API, clients now have the ability to search for multiple hotels of their choice in a single request. This allows them complete freedom to only search for hotels they wish to sell.
