US government warns American travellers of terror threat in UK

The US has issued a new terror alert warning Americans about travelling to Europe.

The US State Department alert referred to recent incidents linked to terrorism in the UK, France, Russia and Sweden.

"While local governments continue counter-terrorism operations, the department nevertheless remains concerned about the potential for future terrorist attacks," the alert said.

"US citizens should always be alert to the possibility that terrorist sympathisers or self-radicalised extremists may conduct attacks with little or no warning."

  • So stay in the USA...

...where so far in 2017 there have been 4,943 people killed by firearms - 697 of them by police officers. I'll stay in dangerous Britain, thank you very much.

  • USA Terror Threat Advice

Dear, dear....such brave people these Americans. May we remind the dummy in power that in the past 15 years there have been more deaths by terrorism in the USA than the UK and that more than 30,000 people die of gunshot wounds in the USA every year, so it is the UK that should be giving advice to travellers to the USA in theory. Donald Gump has given his full support to the NRA in the USA so it is unlikely that things will improve.
