River and tour specialist up for sale



Riviera Travel is reportedly up for sale, according The Sunday Times.


The newspaper reports majority owner Phoenix Equity Partners has hired PwC to find new investors and could sell for up to £250 million.


Riviera Travel is a river cruise and escorted tours operator that was founded in 1984.


Founder Michael Wright sold a majority stake to Phoenix three years ago and is still involved in the business as a non-executive director.
