Panic on American Airlines jet after passenger tries to exit mid-flight

Passengers on an American Airlines spoke of a 'crazy experience' after a flyer tried to open an emergency exit door mid-flight.

The flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis/St. Paul was beginning its descent when the calm descended into 'yelling and screaming' as other passengers try to subdue the man.

"I thought perhaps two of the passengers had gotten into maybe a fist fight," said passenger Richard Munassi who posted cellphone footage of the unnamed man being taken away by police at MSP.

"I think American Airlines did a great job, especially the pilot of the plane kind of keeping everything in order and keeping everyone calm," said Munassi.

An airport spokesman said the FBI is investigating the incident.
