Small Luxury Hotels of the World adds five new properties



Five new independent hotels in Iceland, Greece, Croatia, Tallinn and Taiwan have joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

The Sandhotel in Reykjavik is a collection of historic townhouses, including the former home of Nobel Prize-winning author Halldoor Laxness.

The Grand Forest Metsovo is a mountain-top retreat in Greece, close to a family friendly ski resort.

In Croatia, the D-Resort Sibenik is located in one of the country's oldest port towns and offers Adriatic views from each of the 72 rooms.

Hotel St Petersbourg in Tallin is Estonia's oldest hotel, which has been given a contemporary make-over by British designers Andrew Martin.

In contrast, Union House in Lukang Old Town, Taiwan only opened in April this year.
