So, why not save the best till last, after you've done your duty to culture and followed the mass tourism crowds, now do your duty to yourself - take a break somewhere truly beautiful, truly full of culture, truly full of great food and wine and hospitality  - and truly full of wonderful SURPRISES- but certainly not full of tourists.

You and your clients will truly love Romagna. Why? Because, although it is stuffed full of all the great things that life offers us, it is still natural and isn't yet stuffed full of tourists. Hence you will benefit from the famous and natural Romagna warm generous hospitality.

It's strange that the tourism spotlight is only able to show a few big destinations at a time - the top 20's for instance which really only rate current popularity - not quality and value.

More and more people now are discovering that much, much better experiences are found just a little way from the very beaten track.

Romagna, for instance is one of Italy's great treasure chests of culture, of local food and wine, of art and architecture and of deeply important world history. And it's not full of tourists.

Just a few examples -

Just one of Romagna's five great art cities is Ravenna  . In once Rome's Imperial capital you can see glorious glistening mosaics still very intact in their 1500 year old beautiful, atmospheric basilicas. It's a world treasure of art, culture, history.

Little Romagna is dotted with soaring hills topped with castles and covered by vineyards - it is said that there are over three hundred of them. The daunting castles were mainly built in the middle ages by the warring Malatesta, Sforza, Este, Montefeltro and Borgia families. And they, like the current inhabitants love their famous wines - hence all the fabulous vineyards. It's a world treasure of natural scenic sights, adventures and great wines.

And just like in the Hobbit's Shire (yes the author of Lord of the Rings came to Romagna to research his book - didn't you know that Ravenna was JRR Tolkien's model for Minas Tirith?  Romagnolo  people LOVE their food. That is why it is famous in Italy for having the best, the freshest, the most authentic and the most delicious cuisine. It's a world treasure of astonishingly good food.

And did you know that all the great Italian painters like da Vinci, Piero della Francesca and others chose Romagna for their backgrounds? They knew a thing or two!
